Poetry Pop-Up at Librairie St-Henri Books | Aug 13th

Join us on Saturday August 13th from 12 – 4 pm for a poetry pop-up at Librarie St-Henri Books. Featured poets from the Vallum Chapbook Series as well as House House Press will be in the store, ready and equipped with a typewriter to write poems upon request. Say hi, request a poem, pick up some chapbooks and books!

12:00 – 1:00 pm / Alexei Perry Cox is a writer, teacher, and organiser. Her poetry collection  PLACE (Noemi Press 2022) is now available and her novella coda: choice(s) is forthcoming with Flint later this year. She is the author of the full length poetry collection Under Her (Insomniac Press 2015) and three chapbooks, Finding Places to Make Places (Vallum 2019) and Re:Evolution (Gap Riot Press 2020), Night 3 (Centre for Expanded Poetics 2021). Her work has been featured in journals such as Denver Quarterly, Journal Safar, Moko, Arc Poetry Magazine and many others.

1:00 – 2:00 pm / David Bradford is a poet, translator, and editor based in Tio’tia:ke (Verdun). His first book, Dream of No One but Myself (Brick Books, 2021) was a finalist for the Gerard Lampert Memorial Award and the Griffin Poetry Prize. His forthcoming collection, Bottom Rail on Top, will be published in 2023.

2:00 – 3:00 pm / H Felix Chau Bradley is the author of Personal Attention Roleplay (Metonymy 2021), which was a finalist for the Danuta Gleed Literary Award and the Kobo Rakuten Emerging Writer Prize, as well as the poetry chapbook Automatic Object Lessons (House House Press). They are the fiction editor for This Magazine and the host of Strange Futures, a longstanding speculative fiction book club. They live in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal).

3:00 – 4:00 / Heather White lives in Montreal/Tiohtià:ke. She won the 2021 Vallum Chapbook Award for her long poem DES MONSTERAS; her writing on art and culture has appeared in Canadian Art, the Brooklyn Rail, Real Life, the Rumpus, and elsewhere.
