Rose Maloukis | WE CANNOT LIVE WITH RELENTLESS UGLY

we cannot live with relentless ugly……….sustain the injury

those images follow us
into nights’ labyrinths crevices mud and monotone scumble

they wound us

………………………..biographies’ broken spines
………………………..stacked in a diorama we see
………………………..above and below the ground
………………………..a double fugue…..a small seed
………………………..is trying to grow……..into beauty

we’re missing something
tell us where it turns…….to propel itself to the surface
