Artist’s Bio
Dottie Gordon (JG) // // * 1993, Canada. Dottie is a textile printmaker, illustrator and
painter who is self-taught, but grateful to have had the guidance and care of many
mentors and a considerable amount of support from their community at large. They are
inspired by the dated approach of 1980’s graphic composition, and their work draws from
material glamour, a queer lived experience and new age sensibilities. They aspire to
create work as soothing and depictive as a still-life with found objects, and as maximalist
as the great Duggie Fields.
